Job Description

As an Management Accountant you will lead a small team in the processing, accounting and reporting of financial information within the company, on behalf of the group. You will have the commitment to ongoing review and improvement of the accuracy of thefinancial data, as well as identifying opportunities for efficiency gains.Client DetailsThe client is based close to Nantgarw and is easily accessible by car and public transport. Anyone living, Cardiff, Pontypridd, Caerphilly and Newport can easily reach this location.This role has been created due to expansion of their European entities.DescriptionAs a Management Accountant you would be involved in:

Manage the production of appropriate and timely month-cycle activities, including reporting of analysis and metrics - entities reporting packs, intercompany confirmations/queries monitoring, expenses processing/admin, Purchasing card administration
Ensure that corporate governance standards are clear and maintained for each site through a process of ongoing balance sheet reviews and a strong control environment
Working in conjunction with other Accountants, continuously improve the reporting out metrics
Manage the production of ad hoc analysis and cleansing data
Ensure activities are completed on timely basis to meet reporting deadlines
Liaise and support Group and Divisional requirements
Bringing in statutory accounts preparation expertise to the department to roll out to team and enable extension of service offering
Dealing with auditors and year end within the period cycle activates
Co-ordinate with Group Tax and Group financial accounting to ensure compliance reporting deadlines are met. (Monthly reporting, VAT etc)

ProfileThe successful candidate will have the following attributes:

Experience of management and financial accounting and reporting
Experience of working in a busy environment, providing accounting/reporting services to tight deadlines
Worked independently to prepare monthly reports and analysis
Competent using ERP systems such as Oracle/SAP
