Job Description

Youll be assisting the Merchandising Manager in creating and maintaining a successful product merchandising strategy and product forecast in line with the companies store and customer requirements. Also supporting with the pricing structures and promotionalplans to ensure that margin budgets and forecasts are achieved.Client DetailsA great opportunity for a Junior Merchandiser to join an omnichannel retail business in the Lancashire area who have been trading for over 60 years. They sell online as well as in over 150 stores. Due to investment the business has an ambitiousgrowth plan for the next 3 year to gain market share.Description

  • Monitor product and range performance against sales, margin, stock and availability targets making recommendations and generating analysis to support buying decisions.
  • Range forecasting in accordance with agreed parameters and managing store and DC stock levels, providing accurate forecasting of markdown spend and end of line stock forecasts..
  • Work collaboratively with the Buying and Supply Chain teams developing commercial ranges, establishing stock intake plans and setting core KPIs, ensuring on time delivery from supply base and stock range plans are kept within targeted levels
  • Liaise with the Marketing department to ensure that all point of sale, price tickets and promotional material is correct
  • Assist in implementing all aspects of the department strategy to deliver sales and profit targets and keep systems updated and maintained with any changes.
  • Create and effectively manage the price book, related systems and documentation for all trading events
  • Agree the store ranging plan
Profile
  • An Assistant Merchandiser, Senior Assistant Merchandiser, Junior Merchandiser or similar
  • Experience of working with imported goods
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Strong excel skills
  • Effective communication and influencing skills
  • Efficient time management and organisational skills, able to plan own workload and collaborate with others to achieve departmental objectives and timelines.
