Job Description

The JobThe Vendor Business Manager is responsible for developing and maintaining vendor relationships, along with increasing the financial growth for the assigned vendor(s). Maximizing revenue & profit in addition to business and marketing planning are key parts of this position. The position is the face of intY, a ScanSource Company to our vendor and reseller partners and expected to be a role model of professionalism.Responsibilities

  • Drive business to achieve revenue and goals
  • Act as an escalation point for the assigned vendor line(s)
  • Creation, execution and on-going monitoring of assigned vendor line(s) business plans
  • Maintain a high profile for assigned vendor line(s) with appropriate members of intY, ScanSource business units
  • Working with the Marketing Specialists to develop jointly the marketing plan for the vendor(s) to achieve business plan and attract resellers
  • Understand the competitive landscape of both the distributor and manufacturer
  • Serve as problem solver and escalation path for internal sales and vendor issues
  • Maximize profitability for assigned vendor line(s)
  • Monitor pipeline, recruiting and performance to goal for assigned line(s)
  • Maintain product knowledge of assigned vendor line(s) and their competitors
  • Responsible for quarterly business reviews with the management and vendor partners
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Reporting Relationships

  • Daily contact with vendor representatives, sales reps, accounting and intY, ScanSource management
  • Skills & ExperienceRequired:
  • GCSE’s or equivalent
  • Organisational Skills
  • Presentation Skills
  • Communication Skills
  • Negotiation Skills
  • Self-Motivated with ability to prioritise and execute
  • Computer Skills (MS Office)
  • 3+ years of relevant industry experience
  • Experience in Product Management and/or Sales
  • Preferred:
  • Bachelor’s Degree or 3 or more years of relevant experience (Marketing/Business)
  • Proficiency in foreign language (Spanish, Portuguese, French, German)
  • Physical Requirements
  • Ability to sit a computer for varying periods of time
  • Ability to be physically in attendance at workstation at designated company office location during normal business hours designated for the position
  • Ability to travel up to 30 percent of the time
