Job Description

Our client, on the outskirts of Canterbury, is currently looking to add to their existing team with a new role - a Purchasing Administrator within the Purchasing department.This is a permanent role paying £27,000 to £30,000 p/a, dependant on experience.Monday to Friday 9am to 5.30pm (37.50hrs PW) - office based for a while but hybrid could be an option in a year or so. 21 days holiday rising to 26 days with service plus bank holidays. Medicash, parking and pension, Bupa at a later date.Working closely with the long established Purchasing Manager who is extremely supportive, knowledgeable, and driven with great training being provided, with opportunities to develop your career further within Purchasing for the right candidate. Due to location,you will be required to have your own transport.As Purchasing Administrator, your responsibilities will include:

  • Purchase products (direct and indirect), materials, and services required to fulfil sales orders on time
  • Maintain strong working relationships with suppliers through regular communication.
  • Coordinate with hauliers and suppliers to schedule collections and deliveries of goods.
  • Manage stock levels and schedule deliveries to maximise production efficiency.
  • Keep accurate records of purchases, suppliers, and deliveries
  • Monitor supplier quality and delivery performance.
  • Provide general administrative support to the Manager and team.
The person:
  • Previous experience within Administration, ideally within the purchasing or procurement
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Excel and Outlook.
  • To possess excellent organisational and communication skills
  • Great team player
  • Attention to detail and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
