Job Description

Are you a dedicated and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant with a passion for supporting students with autism Do you thrive in a one-on-one educational setting, helping students achieve their full potential If so, we have a fantastic opportunity for you!We are an education agency representing an excellent Secondary School located in Barnet, North London. This forward-thinking school is seeking an enthusiastic and empathetic SEN Teaching Assistant to work on a one-to-one basis with a student who has autism.Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide tailored support to a student with autism, focusing on their individual needs and learning goals.
  • Assist the student in accessing the curriculum and participating in classroom activities.
  • Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Implement strategies to promote the students social and emotional development.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to ensure the students progress and well-being.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience working with students with autism is essential.
  • A patient and empathetic approach to supporting students with special educational needs.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to adapt and differentiate teaching strategies to meet the students unique requirements.
  • Flexibility and a willingness to work collaboratively as part of a team.
