Job Description

Elevation Recruitment Group are currently partnered with a high-volume manufacturing business in Barnsley who are looking for a HSE Manager to join their business. Reporting to the Operations Manager, this role will be the site lead for implementing safesystems of work and safe behavioural practices at all levels of the organisation. The business supply specialist products to a wide variety of industries and are located on a high-tech, modern facility which is easily accessible from the M1. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a business with a fantastic culture who are fully committedto safety. Duties & Responsibilities include:

  • Improve HSE management systems, policies, and procedures to support business operations in accordance with current legislation
  • Maintain company risk assessments. Review and update as required.
  • Work with designated site contacts and conduct regular risk assessments and safety audits
  • Communicate information on the H&S Management System throughout the organisation and promote HSE awareness through various communication channels i.e. TBT, inductions, training, discussions, emails etc. in consultation with all relevant departments
  • Support the investigation of accidents, incidents and near misses. Ensure that RIDDOR regulations are adhered to
  • Maintain HSE key performance indicators and prepare reports for management and regulatory bodies
  • Promote a positive health and safety culture within the organisation. Encourage employee participation in safety initiatives
Im keen to speak to HSE Professionals with the following skillset:
  • NEBOSH
  • Knowledge of ISO 14001
  • Experience as a H&S manager in a manufacturing company with individual accountability for a management system
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to manage multiple projects/objectives effectively
  • Proven experience in a manufacturing/engineering environment
