Job Description

Are you an experienced leader in Financial Planning and AnalysisWe have an excitingopportunity to join Sovereign Network Group as Head of Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) on afixed term basis for 12 months. Youll lead our financial planning, forecasting and management accountingprocesses, establishing a centre of excellence for management accounting activity.Based from our head office in Basingstoke, youll combine home and office working to ensure a positive work / life balance.Its a really exciting time to join us as Sovereign have joined forces with Network Homes to form SNG. Together we provide over 84,000 homes and invest in communities across London and the South of England.The RoleReporting into the Finance Director - Business Partnering, youll manage a team of up to 8 direct reports, including a Senior Management Accountant and a Finance Analyst.Responsibilities will include:

Leading financial planning, forecasting and management accounting processes, covering Income & Expenditure, Balance sheet and Cashflow
Leading the development and reporting of Key Performance Indicators, Value for Money insights and Fit for Growth cost saving programme
Providing timely, accurate and comprehensive business insights using both internally generated and external benchmark information to both internal and external stakeholders
Accountability for financial data quality and for the development and implementation of data and system driven improvements to drive value added reporting and analysis across Finance
Driving continuous improvement, including automation of processes and the use of data in financial reporting, such as PowerBI and insights
Leading, inspiring and managing the team to support their personal development in their roles, leading to continuous improvements in team performance

What we need from youYou should be a fully Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent post graduate accounting qualification) with extensive experience working in FP&A or a similar role, ideally within the housing or property services sectors. Youll alsoneed:

Extensive knowledge of external and internal reporting cycles, including statutory report preparation, management account preparation and analysis
A track record of transforming financial systems and reporting processes to drive better ways of working that lead to operational and financial efficiencies
Strong influencing skills, applying appropriate critique and challenge to data and commentary presented to support decision making
Strongnumeracyskills with advanceddatamodelling andanalyticalskills, using MS Excel and otherdata analysis and forecasting tools
Experience of proactively managing, coaching and developing a team to enable high performance and support personal development
Knowledge of Agresso/Unit 4 Accounting system (or similar system) would be advantageous
