Job Description

Shipping Officer (Hybrid working, 3 days office, 2 days at home)• Responsible for planning and coordinating international shipments of raw material and finished goods with approved freight forwarders, in accordance with the Shipping forecast and Business requirements• Raise shipping documentation in line with Customer and destination country requirements• Update the shipping planner on receipt of confirmed movement details• Obtain and verify freight quotes for air, ocean, land freight and air charters from approved vendors• Coordinate and issue Customs Clearance forms for imports and follow up on receipting customs documentation from freight forwarder and couriers to ensure compliance with audit requirements• Review and confirm Letters of Credit are workable• Check and present documents in accordance with Letters of Credit requirements• Build and maintain strong working relationships with Customer Delivery Managers, Sales, Commercial and all other stakeholders as required• Support departmental and factory meetings as required• Review and approve supplier invoices• Ensure the Business is Importing and Exporting in accordance with UK LegislationBenefits include:
