Job Description

Excellent opportunity for an In House Costs Draftsperson, who has extensive experience in drafting Legal Aid bills to join a top 100 UK law firm in Bath.This role is based in the firms Family team.The right candidate must have experience of CCMS drafting and submission of bills, have a Legal Aid background with at least 2-5 years experience.Key Responsibilities will include:

  • Preparing and submitting Legal Aid payments on accounts
  • Processing High Cost Case Plans - drafting VHCCP
  • Processing claims prepared by external cost drafts firm
  • Complete final bills to Legal Aid Agency, claims assessed by Legal Aid Agency and Court
  • To liase & advise with fee earners/support staff in relation to a variety of legal costs matters
  • General administration of documents, including: photocopying, archiving, data entry and filing
  • Preparing bills, costing files, and preparing claims for detailed assessment
  • Work closely with other members of the team to ensure work is completed effectively and efficiently
  • Ensure that all working processes and practices comply with relevant quality and service standards
The ideal candidate will have Strong technical knowledge and experience of drafting bills.
