Salary: £38-£41K

We are seeking a Design Engineer to join a successfulEngineering Team, working on a variety of projects and supporting Lead Engineers in producing concept design solutions, detailed designs, and engineering documentation. This role is ideal for someonewho is proactive, has good communication skills, and is ready to lead improvement initiatives. Day to Day of the role:

Collaborate with the Engineering Team to produce and update 3D CAD models and 2D technical drawings.
Support build and test activities, including hands-on tasks where appropriate.
Participate in product development activities, problem resolution, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Interface with in-house colleagues, suppliers, and customers to communicate engineering concepts and designs.
Deliver work packages to a defined standard, budget, and timescale, managing internal/external resources if necessary.
Engage in customer visits, technical meetings, and cross-functional collaboration with Operations, Projects, Procurement, and Quality teams.
Ensure adherence to Engineering policies, safety standards, and testing processes.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Degree in mechanical or related engineering discipline, or equivalent combination of experience and training.
Strong command of mechanical engineering fundamentals.
Proficiency in engineering computer-aided design and analysis tools, configuration management systems, and ERP tools.
Experience with SolidWorks or similar 3D CAD modelling package is desirable.
Knowledge of hydraulics, high-pressure oil and gas sealing technologies, and PDM software is advantageous.
Ability to communicate effectively through written and verbal methods.
Willingness to travel worldwide to support business activities.
Eligibility to obtain UK SC clearance.
