Our Operations groups are the core of all activity at the Firm and have significant impact across the lifecycle of a trade. We partner extensively with a range of internal stakeholders such as Front Office Sales and Trading Desks, Compliance, Legal, Financeand HR; alongside having significant interaction with our external client base, playing a key role in the overall client experience. We have a client relationship group dedicated to overseeing service performance and strategic partnerships with top tier clients,where we play a key role in supporting global clients to ensure they have a first-class experience when doing business with Citi. This role is responsible for supporting the Front Office Markets Sales and Trading desks by building, maintaining and providing a robust operational risk and control framework. The Spread Products (SP) Middle Office is looking for a candidate to provide MiddleOffice support to the SP Derivatives, Cash and ETF Sales and Trading desks. The successful candidate will focus on delivering the Middle Office strategy for the product, driving our target operating model and ensuring a robust control environment. The role will have accountability for daily supervisory risk and service oversight ofthe Spread Products organisation, ensuring that the objectives of Operations, the Business and our clients are executed to a high standard and in full accordance with regulatory and control requirements. Responsibilities:• Developing an effective control framework that fully meets Audit, Compliance and Regulatory requirements • Driving the teams operational efficiency, automation and productivity agenda including keeping abreast with and adopting new technologies made available for use within the organisation. • Maintaining a culture and environment where processes, risks and controls are continually monitored, and potential risks escalated on a timely basis. • Identifying, maintaining, and reviewing key risk metrics and indicators and presenting these to senior management • Ensuring the infrastructure and tools are in place to effectively manage risk and to service our clients to a high standard Key Characteristics:The successful candidate will also be required to demonstrate the necessary skills and experience to deliver on the below: • Operational Expertise: demonstrate considerable understanding of key operational functions such as Lifecycle Management, Reconciliations, Compression and Special Events handling • Product Knowledge: demonstrate high-level knowledge and understanding of the products traded by the SP business. • Automation: Utilizes a data driven approach to improve straight through processing and reconciliation match rates whilst reducing manual touch points and operational risk. Qualifications and Skills:• BS/BA degree or equivalent work experience preferredOR • Significant experience in Tier 1 global financial institutions preferably with experience in Prime Brokerage, Futures, Asset Servicing, Settlements, Equites, Middle Office or Fixed Income • Experience working with regional operations teams in a fast paced, large global financial services firm, ideally within Middle Office • Energetic, flexible, collaborative, and proactive; a leader who can positively and productively add product impact to both strategic and tactical technology • Strong, influential communicator who is articulate and concise, demonstrated success interacting with senior management both in the business, corporate functions as well as the Operations, Business and Technology environments • Strong risk management and control mindset • Provides evaluative judgment based on analysis of information in complicated, unique, and dynamic situations; draws on diverse range of internal and external sources • Self-reliant, good problem solver, results oriented • Ability to establish and build trust with professionals throughout the business as a leader, advisor and business partner to the organization with a clear client orientation • Strong awareness of both external and internal best practice perspectives, maintaining a balanced and fresh viewpoint • Ability to conceptualize aspects of the organizations model and its future development What well provide you: By joining Citi, you will not only be part of a business casual workplace with a hybrid working model (up to 2 days working at home per week), but also receive a competitive base salary (which is annually reviewed), and enjoy a whole host of additional benefitssuch as:
