Job Description

Our client is an exciting and rapidly growing organisation - a collaborative team of doers who actively support each other to get the best results for their customers. As the Warehouse Supervisor, reporting to the Warehouse Assistance Manager, you willsupervise any aspect of warehouse operation from receipt to despatch ensuring all aspects of customer order requirements are met within the agreed budgets, H&S standards and quality compliance. You will also provide leadership and motivation to the team whilstensuring all KPIs are met.This is a full-time post based in Sharpness, Gloucestershire, and your hours of work will vary to meet the seasonal nature of the business. During off peak periods, the core hours are normally between 7am and 6pm Monday to Friday, however, during busy peaksummer season, you will be required to cover hours between 6am and 10pm on a split shift basis, (e.g. 6am to 2pm or 2pm to 10pm). You may also be required to cover weekend hours as is necessary.Responsibilities:

  • To supervise warehouse teams and ensure that customers deliveries and products are received, handled, picked and despatched with 100% accuracy using relevant warehouse management systems
  • To always work in a way that safeguards both personal safety and the safety of all who work in the warehouse
  • Accurate completion of all outbound and inbound stock movement paperwork
  • Other tasks in support of the warehouse operation as directed/requested
  • Responsible for highlighting any potential health & safety, and quality issues, including hygiene and damage issues to the Warehouse Manager
  • Completion of necessary process control and quality documented records, in a timely manner (QC Checks)
  • Manage shift handovers with accurate reporting
Skills, Qualities and Experience:
  • Good understanding of basic warehouse health & safety controls and management, including ability to complete Risk Assessments and Safe Systems of Work documents
  • The ability to safely operate warehouse equipment including pallet trucks and forklift vehicles
  • Good PC literacy and the ability to use the systems applicable to the warehouse or the capability to use them after suitable training
  • Be familiar with policies/procedures that apply to the company premises and its operations
  • Operational competence with the ability to work in a small team and with minimal supervision to consistently produce results that achieve the KPI targets agreed with our customers or set by the company
  • Team management experience
  • To actively suggest continuous improvements opportunities and manage implementation and feedback results
  • Quality management, ensuring our customers expectations are met and regularly reported
  • Resource management of labour and equipment, day to day and forward planning as required
  • Support the Quality Control function in maintaining accurate stock integrity and prevention of stock loss
  • Numerate and Methodical in working method
