Job Description

Job DescriptionDecontamination Team LeaderWe are now inviting applications for the post of Decontamination Technician Team Leader. This is a full-time position (37.5 hours per week) and is based at the Yorkshire Clinic in Bingley.We are looking for a dynamic people person with excellent organisational skills. You will know your way around the decontamination of re-usable medical devices and you will have had experience of ISO standard quality systems. You will have strong motivationalskills and be comfortable working alongside your team in achieving the daily requirements of the unit.What youll have

  • Decontamination (Sterile Services and Endoscopy) process and procedure experience.
  • Good identification of surgical instrument knowledge.
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently as required
  • Good computer skills (MS Office package)
  • Flexibility and adaptability
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Excellent organisational ability
  • Demonstrated customer service skills
Duties Include
  • To supervise a team in the Decontamination Department to ensure the team objectives are achieved.
  • Liaising with Apprentice/Trainee Decontamination Technicians, Decontamination Technicians and Decontamination Manager
  • To participate in the provision of a specialised decontamination of medical devices service contributing to the clinical care of the patient.
  • To perform a full range of decontamination duties.
  • Manages Decontamination records in own area of work.
  • Provide a high quality and timely service to all customers.
  • To ensure Departmental Standard Operating Procedures are adhered to by all decontamination staff in accordance with Quality Management Systems.
  • Plan your own workload and work with minimal supervision.
