Job Description

One of our great secondary schools specialising in autism is looking for an Assistant Headteacher to start in September. This school is dedicated to fostering a nurturing and engaging environment where students thrive, making this a great opportunity forthose looking to work within an inclusive SEND environment work at Senior Leadership level.The Role:We are seeking an Assistant Headteacher to lead on Quality of Education. You will be responsible for line managing Learning Leaders, mentoring Early Career Teachers (ECTs), and overseeing various elements of our quality of education strategy.Key Responsibilities:

  • Line manage Learning Leaders across different subjects.
  • Mentor Early Career Teachers (ECTs), providing guidance and support for their professional growth.
  • Oversee and enhance the quality of teaching and learning across the school.
  • Lead on curriculum design and implementation, ensuring it meets the needs of all students.
  • Drive initiatives to improve student outcomes and educational standards.
  • Develop and implement strategies for continuous improvement in education quality.
About You:
  • Experience in a leadership role within a school setting.
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Strong understanding of curriculum development and quality assurance.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Commitment to inclusive education and supporting students with autism.
