Job Description

KS2 Academic CoachAre you a motivated graduate, with a drive to improve the achievement levels of KS2 pupils, preparing them for the transition to secondary schoolCould you use your skills to build strong bonds with pupils and provide them with support that is adapted to their individual needs*** KS2 Academic Coach*** Stechford*** £85-£95 per day*** September 2024- July 2025*** Providing academic support to KS2 to improve their grades as they approach their SATs.*** ‘Good’ primary school.Requirements:The ideal candidate for this KS2 Academic Coach position will have achieved at least a 2:1 bachelor’s degree. They will have a friendly personality with a natural ability to build strong bonds with children. It is essential that the successful candidate isdedicated to the education of young learners and is committed to following safeguarding policies and procedures. Previous experience of working in close collaboration with children, or in a school setting, is beneficial but not mandatory.The Role:

  • Providing 1-2-1 and small group support to under-achieving KS2 pupils.
  • Improving grades and raising attainment levels as pupils approach their SATs exams.
  • Assisting teaching staff in day-to-day activities including the planning and delivery of engaging lessons.
  • Assessing classwork and providing constructive feedback.
  • Creating and implementing personalised support strategies to accommodate pupils’ unique learning needs.
