Job Description

A brilliant opportunity has arisen in the Birmingham area for an experienced Operations Team Leader in the Transport & Distribution industry. This role is focused on logistics and requires a leader with a keen focus on efficiency and coordination, and willinvolve working a Friday to Monday shift pattern.Client DetailsOur client is one of the UKs leading third-party logistics providers. They specialise in providing supply chain solutions to a wide range of industry sectors.DescriptionThe role of Operations Team Leader in Birmingham will involve:

  • Working Friday-Monday (Friday-Sunday 06:00-18:00 and Monday 18:00-06:00)
  • Leading and managing a team of operational colleagues
  • Overseeing operations to ensure efficiency and productivity
  • Regular and effective communication with the customer
  • Implementing process improvements within the department
  • Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations
  • Coordinating with other departments to optimise operations and procedures
  • Monitoring and reporting on team performance
  • Handling any escalated customer service issues
ProfileA successful Operations Team Leader should have:
  • A proven track record in a leadership role within a warehouse environment
  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to work on own initiative
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills at all levels
  • The ability to manage and lead a team effectively
  • A background in Logistics Distribution and Supply Chain
