Job Description

Reporting to Head of Trade SalesFull Time, remote working - Pay: £35,000.00 per year and performance bonus up to £10,000Will require full driving licence with 0 pointsBenefits:

Overview of the role· To introduce company products to the largely untapped market of Developers in the Midlands and surrounding areas.· To Secure and develop a profitable portfolio of accounts.· To develop a full understanding of, and interest in, our products and ability to relay this enthusiasm and knowledge to potential customers. Previous knowledge of the door industry an advantage.· Work closely with the Account Management team and National Sales Manager to ensure accounts receive exceptional customer service and support.Key Requirements· A proven record of Field Sales in the construction industry (ideally including doors) to Developers and Merchants.· The ability to hit the ground running and have contacts to call on within the industry.· Experience in territory sales planning and diary management.· To be sales and results driven, and Self-motivated.· A customer-centric attitude, personable and experienced at making a good first impression and building long-term relationships.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and highly numerate.
  • A Proactive, lateral thought processes, with an ability to identify solutions and with a naturally persuasive manner.
  • An appreciation of teamwork and a good fit with the Account Management Department, the National Sales Manager and The Head of Trade Sales.
  • Ability to represent the Company in a professional, friendly and authoritative manner.

  • Gain new Business by making appointments and visiting potential customers.
  • Proactively pursue all sales leads, negotiate sales and follow up on all estimates.
  • Deliver excellent customer service by responding swiftly to queries and concerns from customers.
  • Develop and maintain good working relationships with customers and colleagues.
  • Providing an efficient, friendly, and professional point of contact to customers.
  • Introduce new products and promote them to customers and potential new accounts.
  • Ensure all commitments to customers are realistic and achievable.
  • Work in an organised manner to optimise efficiency.
  • Maintain up-to-date comprehensive knowledge of all products and services, whilst building awareness of competitors’ activities.
  • Ensuring all paperwork and systems work is kept in a clear, orderly fashion so that tasks may be followed up by others.
