Job Description

Curriculum Lead (Medical Services)Closing date: Sunday, 14th July 2024Location: Blackburn - hybridSalary: £29,925 - £31,500 per annum (pro-rata)Contract type: PermanentHours: 33 – 37.5 hours per weekTraining 2000 is a large, independent training provider, based in Blackburn, Lancashire and is owned by the University of Central Lancashire. We have a heritage of over 50 years in Lancashire, delivering learning and development solutions and prides itselfon delivery of learning excellence and creating outstanding talent for Lancashire and beyond.The RoleTo deliver operational excellence through supporting the Delivery Manager with the day-to-day management of the department and programmes which includes the people, quality of delivery, learner experience, curriculum and funding/quality compliance.Some of the main duties include:

  • To oversee the management of programmes and their curriculum within the area of responsibility and ensure highly effective teaching learning and assessment ensuring that information and trends are regularly reported to relevant stakeholders.
  • In conjunction with the Quality of Education Manager, drive improvements in the quality of education to ensure that the Company continuously delivers outstanding performance, raises the quality of the learning experience for learners and delivers successfullearner outcomes.
  • To monitor learner progress throughout the learning journey and in preparation for End Point Assessment and implement appropriate interventions to ensure timely progression and outcomes.
  • To ensure the consistent and accurate recording/reporting of information in relation to off the job training, breaks in learning, completions, withdrawals and transfers etc.
  • To support the development of the Quality Improvement Plans (QIP) with support from the Delivery Manager, the Quality team and then have responsibility for driving improvements in line with the QIP.
  • To effectively manage the Quality Assurance process in line with the awarding body organisation specifications and standards in order to maintain compliance.
  • To coordinate and plan English and Mathematics bookings for the apprenticeship programmes ensuring that these are planned timely in line with the learner’s programme.
Some essential requirements:
  • Minimum of level 3 teaching qualification.
  • GCSE English and Mathematics at Grade 4 or above.
  • Proven success in improving Apprenticeship performance and retention rates.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft software including Word, Excel, Email and Teams.
Desirable requirements:
  • Understanding of OFSTED, SAR processes and quality inspection regimes.
  • Internal Verifiers’ award.
  • Experience of working in a similar role.
