Job Description

Job Title - Legal CashierLocation - BlackburnSalary - Up to £28kOur client are a well-established legal firm who are seeking a skilled and motivated Legal Cashier to join their Finance Team at the Head Office located in Blackburn. This full-time position offers a structured work week of 36.25 hours, Monday through Friday.Main duties include:

  • Managing daily banking tasks
  • Preparing electronic bank transfers, including CHAPS, BACS, and Faster Payments
  • Performing bank reconciliations for client and business accounts
  • Reconciling client ledgers
  • Administering petty cash
  • Processing client and office accounting transactions, including postings
  • Handling client-to-office transfers
Role requirements:
  • Previous experience as a Legal Cashier, with knowledge of the Solicitors Accounts Rules
  • Strong numeracy skills
  • High attention to detail and the ability to prioritise tasks to meet deadlines
  • Proficiency in IT systems, including Microsoft Office, Word, and Excel
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and provide support as needed
