Technicians have a meaningful role analysing raw materials, intermediates as well as finished product to demonstrate quality compliance and allow release of finished product.On a day-to-day level, this involves sampling, testing, calibration, and data analysis. But youll also have wider responsibilities.This role is for a 12-hour shift-based technician rotating nights and days, averaging 37.5 hours a week. Job QualificationsWhat we look for:
  • Scientific Background: You have relevant Science qualifications at GCSE and A-Level/NVQ (or equivalents).
  • Laboratory Skills: Analytical Chemistry skills (e.g. titration, gas chromatography) and/or Microbiological techniques (e.g. aseptic preparation, organism isolation and identification) with practical laboratory experience, ideally in a manufacturingsetting, is desirable.
  • Be Transparent, Inclusive and Collaborative: You actively build productive working relationships.
  • Be Decisive: You can draw information from microbiological or analytical data to identify risks and trends. You use this information to make timely decisions to minimise impact on product release.
  • Operate with Discipline: You follow Good Laboratory Practices and all standards rigorously. You can identify deviations from quality standards and work to take appropriate action.
  • Learn and Reapply: You utilise your ideas, technical knowledge and insights to guide improvements to our processes.
  • Be Flexible and Agile: You are adaptive to new priorities in our ever-changing and dynamic environment, remaining responsive to our production schedules.
  • Develop Mastery: You make good use of all learning opportunities to develop your skills and achieve our internal accreditation scheme as well as meet your own personal learning goals.
  • Languages: Proficiency in English. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
