We have an exciting role to join Gillette’s Process and Engineering Department as a Senior MechanicalDesign Engineer.If you are ready to unleash your technical creativity then P&G is the ideal place to work on ground-breaking improvements related to the manufacturing and processing of our leading products with smart, connected technologies.RESPONSIBILITIES:In this role you will design, deliver, validate and install market leading equipment to manufacture our razors for worldwide manufacturing sites to produce and improve billion-dollar products like Gillette, Fusion and Venus. You will be responsible for thedesign and specification for our own in house manufactured machines and creating specs for vendor-built machines. You will also be responsible for delivering obsolescence and cost savings (cost, cash, and /or material savings) to the business.

• Development of assembly equipment from concept to deployment, covering all aspects mechanical design including CAD (Computer-Aided Design) work, machine commissioning and installation.
• Manage the technical leadership of a project through design, manufacture, debug and implementation & commissioning phases both at vendors and receiving sites globally with potential extensive travel.
• Effectively manage project plans including detailed milestone setting and timeline generation to ensure key milestones are met in line with overall program timings.
• There is the requirement to travel to receiving sites/vendors globally as needed (>25% of the role).

Job QualificationsWHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

• Strong engineering aptitude/background. BSc or higher required in Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering or other engineering degrees paired with relevant equipment design experience
• 5-10+ years experience designing equipment in CAD for high speed and precision equipment.
• Specific mechanical design skills desired are:

o Proficient in 3D solid modelling (NX Preferred)o Proficient in the application of GD&To Can design for manufacturability and assemblyo Familiar with servo mechatronic systems, pneumatics and ma chine control systems

• Ability to generate detailed functional specifications which includes technology search, decision matrix assessment and making recommendations on the best value option.
• Experience of project management and working in and leading project teams will be important in this role. Creating project timelines, action plans and clearly communicating project updates and status are key to this role.
