Job Description

We are recruiting for a Financial / Management Accountant within the Financial Reporting Team of a leading global organisation. You will be responsible for the production of timely, accurate and relevant management accounts and financial statements whilstensuring tight internal controls are in place. You will have responsibility for entities assigned to you, which will include production of P&Ls, balance sheets, variance analysis and assist with producing the budget. You will have line management responsibilityfor 2 Accounts Assistants who oversee the bank accounts and run the intercompany process - covering our EMEA entities.You will be responsible for:

  • Production and review of the Monthly Management Accounts
  • Ensure monthly reconciliation of all balance sheet accounts including client reconciliations, prepayments, accruals, payroll and tax related accounts.
  • Direct management of 2 team members.
  • To produce the monthly, bi-monthly and quarterly VAT returns and reconciliations.
  • To produce the monthly, quarterly and annual EC sales returns and reconciliations.
  • To manage, produce and journal all the intercompany charges.
  • To ensure bank reconciliations are accurate and completed in a timely manner.
  • To produce a full monthly commentary on each entity analysing performance against key KPIs.
  • Support with the production of year end statutory accounts and work with the auditors during their fieldwork.
  • To assist in production of annual overhead budget from the bottom up.
  • Ad hoc financial analysis and investigative tasks.
The successful candidate will be part qualified ACCA/CIMA studier intent on qualifying, ideally with management experience but proven coaching and development experience will be of interest.
