A successful, dynamic and progressive business in South Bristol employing 850 people is currently recruiting for a Category & Sourcing Manager - Indirects (£47k-£50k, 3 days WFH, 5% pension contribution and 25+8 days holiday)This is a key position within the new procurement function reporting to the Head of Procurement, leading some Procurement Categories and all sourcing activities.There are multiple categories of predominately indirect greenfield spend that need to be covered by this new procurement team. Categories to be covered are: Capital buildings, Plant, Sold Commercial services (cleaning, security, Cash in transit), Temp Help,Utilities, Consumables, Corporate services, Building Maintenance, and Tech / Comms/ Data - with a total annual spend of approx £35mPlease note some of these categories such as Corporate Services and Building Maintenance do not require full category management but more strategic mentoring of stakeholders to drive value and mitigate commercial risk.Category specific role and responsibilities include:• Sets Category vision and strategy.• Provides Category leadership to stakeholders (approx 14 senior stakeholders).• Delivers Category specific targets and KPI’s.• Delivers Category non-invoiced value.• Creates and delivers category specific innovation.• Leads, actions and orchestrates the category management process.• Delivers on ad-hoc basis operational procurement activity outside of the core role categories.• Creates and delivers all the required documentation to enable the strategic sourcing process.• Participates in / leads Category specific strategic sourcing events.• Leads and delivers all Category specific supplier management (SRM).• Generates all category related / required data and knowledge management.• Delivers all required category measurement and reporting on a monthly / annual cycle (current state vs targets / KPI’s).• Delivers category specific digitalisation.• Leads Category specific stakeholder engagement.• Leads, trains, and mentors others creating and delivering category projects.Sourcing role and responsibilities:• Delivers Procurement Tendering, contract repository management, and Public Contracts Regulations (PCR) knowledge ownership.• Provides tendering portal functional system leadership.• Activation and operation of all functional strategic sourcing events ensuring PCR compliance.• Creates and delivers functional process systemisation / automation / digitalisation to enable speed and agility.Our Benefits:• 5% into the company pension scheme.• 25 days annual leave days plus 8 bank holidays.• BUPA Health Cash Plan (we cover the cost of coverage for you), Cycle to Work scheme and an onsite Physiotherapist.• Employee referral scheme.• Employee recognition awards and long service awards.• Flexible working - 2 days office based and the rest from home• CIPS Study supportTo learn more about this position, please upload your CV or email for more information.
