Job Description

A service organisation based in central Bristol (offering hybrid working) is currently recruiting a Group Finance Director to join their team on an approximate 3-6 month basis whilst a permanent member of staff is recruited.Working for a green company that places environmental sustainability as its core value, this business has grown from strength to strength since its inception and is an excellent opportunity for anyone looking for interim work.Duties will include:

  • To provide strategic and financial input on planned future activities of the Group
  • Raising of finance and resulting compliance reporting
  • Initiatives to improve profitability and legitimately minimise tax liability
  • Lead and develop the finance team (currently 10)
  • Preparation of forecasts for Group, monitoring actual financial performance vs forecasts
  • Responsible for UK and European internal financial reporting and regulatory compliance
  • To ensure effective internal controls and risk management are maintained
The successful candidate will have previous experience operating at Board level and have a proven track record of leading teams and providing effective accurate, timely financial information both historic and future. A professional accountancy qualificationis also essential.
