H&S Manager - Cambridge - Permanent - Commercial projectsA well-established Mechanical & Electrical contractor are currently recruiting for an experienced H&S / Compliance Manager to be based in their head office North of Cambridge, Cambridgeshire.This is an exciting opportunity to join an expanding office for a reputable award-winning M&E business. They cover a wide range of sectors including various commercial projects - education, schools, hospitals, defence and offices. These projects will rangein value but typically between £1m and £2m. Most of their projects are with repeat clients due to reputation and long-standing relationships. As the H&S Manager you will monitor and improve HSEQ standards, collect data, and advise site management, supervision and supply chain in all aspects of HSEQ at work. Also, managing compliance and accreditations such as ISO14:001. As the H&S Manager you will have the following responsibilities:· Carry out regular, planned HSEQ inspections and audits.· Collate daily, weekly and Monthly data.· Chair and attend Project HSEQ meetings and committees as agreed with the project teams, liaise with Client, Principal Designer, Project teams about project HSEQ requirements.· Produce comprehensive audit reports inclusive of recommendations for improvement and verify that corrective and preventive action has been taken.· Support external, internal audits (ISO 9001/14001/45001)· Manage the project accident, incident investigation process through to lessons learnt with effective communication. Successful applicants will have the following qualifications and experience:· NEBOSH Construction Certificate or equivalent qualification to a minimum of Level 3.· COSHH Trained.· IOSH Trained.· Handling of Health, Safety and Environmental investigations.· Experience of formulating, implementing and revising Health, Safety and Environmental policies and procedures.· Accident, Incident Investigation.· Great communication and engagement skills.· Computer and IT literate.· Mechanical / Electrical contracting experience (desired).
