Job Description

Head of Religious StudiesTimePlan Education is seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Head of Religious studies to join our partner school based just outside of Cambridge . The position will involve teaching Religious studies across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 as well as providing guidance for the department, helping to produce schemesof work and timetabling and exam support as requiredThe ideal candidate will be an experienced teacher of Religious Studies and a desire to share their expertise with others. The position requires a willingness to work with students, teachers, and parents in the school. Previous experience in a head of departmentrole would be an advantage but is not essential.This is a full time role to commence in September 2024 and is a permanent role although initially may involve a probationary period of working via TimePlan EducationQualifications:Candidates must hold QTS or another recognised teaching qualification as well as experience teaching Religious Studies to Secondary aged pupils - previous head of department or lead teacher experience would be an advantage but is not essential.

  • Must be able to work independently as well as collaboratively.
  • Must be able to adapt to change and grow with the school.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
