Job Description

An exciting opportunity for an Assistant Planner in a fast-paced organisation based near Stockport, Manchester. The successful candidate will join a Global Procurement & Supply Chain team, focusing on supporting the Supply Chain Planner with the timely procurementof goods.Client DetailsThe client is an internationally recognised brand leader in the distribution/retail industry. The companys UK base is located near Stockport, Manchester.DescriptionAs an Assistant Planner you will:

Assist in the planning and execution of supply chain processes
Collaborate with procurement team to ensure timely purchase of goods
Monitor inventory levels and coordinate replenishment as necessary
Contribute to the development and implementation of supply chain strategies
Participate in cross-functional projects to improve supply chain efficiency
Work closely with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of goods
Ensure compliance with company and industry standards
Prepare and present reports on supply chain performance

ProfileThe successful Assistant Planner should have:

Worked in a similar planning position
A working knowledge of the SAP system
Knowledge of supply chain processes and procurement strategies
Strong analytical skills and ability to work with data
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
Proactive attitude and ability to take initiative

Job Offer

Salary up to £35,000
Min 9 month contract starting immediately
