Job Description

An exciting opportunity for an Assistant Planner in a fast-paced organisation based near Stockport, Manchester. The successful candidate will join a Global Procurement & Supply Chain team, focusing on supporting the Supply Chain Planner with the timely procurementof goods.Client DetailsThe client is an internationally recognised brand leader in the distribution/retail industry. With a workforce numbering in the thousands across the Globe, they have a strong presence in multiple markets and are dedicated to delivering top-quality productsto consumers around the world. The companys UK base is located near Stockport, Manchester.DescriptionAs an Assistant Planner you will:

  • Assist in the planning and execution of supply chain processes
  • Collaborate with procurement team to ensure timely purchase of goods
  • Monitor inventory levels and coordinate replenishment as necessary
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of supply chain strategies
  • Participate in cross-functional projects to improve supply chain efficiency
  • Work closely with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of goods
  • Ensure compliance with company and industry standards
  • Prepare and present reports on supply chain performance
ProfileThe successful Assistant Planner should have:
  • Worked in a similar planning position
  • A working knowledge of the SAP system
  • Knowledge of supply chain processes and procurement strategies
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to work with data
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Proactive attitude and ability to take initiative
Job Offer
  • Salary up to £35,000
  • Min 9 month contract starting immediately
