Job Description

HR Advisor Location: Chelmsford, Essex (Office based)Salary: £38k + Excellent BenefitsJob Type: Full-Time, PermanentThe Client:Our client is a prestigious company known in its field as a market leader, a recent winner of Best Employer 2024 in the Sunday Times with state-of-the-art offices located in Chelmsford.The Role:As an HR Advisor, you will play a key role in supporting the HR function by providing comprehensive HR services to the business. You will be responsible for advising on HR policies and procedures, handling employee relations issues, and contributingto HR projects to ensure the smooth running of the HR department.Responsibilities:

  • Provide advice and support to managers and employees on a wide range of HR issues, including disciplinary, grievance, and performance management.
  • Support the recruitment process by assisting with job postings, screening candidates, conducting interviews, and making hiring recommendations.
  • Manage the onboarding process for new hires, ensuring a smooth transition into the company.
  • Advise on HR policies and procedures.
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in employment law and best practices.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records.
  • Prepare HR reports
  • Assist with payroll and benefits administration as needed.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience as an HR Advisor or in a similar HR role.
  • Experience in handling employee relations issues and providing HR advice.
  • Strong knowledge of employment law and HR best practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
  • Skilled in HR software and Microsoft Office applications.
  • CIPD qualification or working towards would be preferred.
