Job Description

We have exciting opportunity for a professional, enthusiastic, and tenacious individual to join our residential lettings team. The successful candidate will be supporting an experienced Property Manager as a Property Manager, looking after a large portfolio of managed properties.Once the successful candidate completes their initial probationary period (normally 6 months), then there will be the opportunity to work some of their week from home on a hybrid basis (see below).The company recognise that our staff are our biggest asset and as such have an extensive rewards system in place to demonstrate our appreciation for the valuable contribution they make to our business.   • Liaising with contractors, booking maintenance appointments and processing routing checks to ensure we are fully compliant.
  • Retrieving and processing valid EICR’s, EPCs and Gas Safety Certificates.
  • Receiving maintenance-based queries either by telephone or email from private tenants who occupy properties which our company manages on behalf of private landlords.
  • Reporting these to landlords and securing authority to instruct approved contractors to investigate and provide related quotations.
  • Liaising between tenants and contractors to arrange access.
  • Provide regular updates to landlords and tenants on the progress made in resolving the relevant issue.
  • Maintaining accurate records within our internal database of enquiries received, actions taken, related conversations and communications sent or received.
  • Remaining in regular contact with the relevant local lettings branch and other internal staff who fulfil specific roles linked to the management of the property.
Requirements:
  • Candidates must have a minimum of 6 months experience working within residential lettings or property management.
  • A natural problem solver’ with a can do’ approach to pro-actively progressing and resolving a maintenance-based issue.
  • Effective communication skills both orally and in written format.
  • A confident, outgoing enthusiastic attitude and professional approach.
  • Well organised, with the ability to prioritise the most urgent jobs amongst a busy workload.
  • IT proficient, familiar with most standard MS Office packages.
Salary & Benefits:Full time basic salary £25,000 - £30,000 per annum, depending on relevant experience plus bonuses. Training:
  • Successful candidates will receive comprehensive training both initially and thereafter, in line with their level of previous experience.
  • Professional accreditations can also be acquired, and the company will fund the full cost of the relevant course material.
Hours of Work:Primarily Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 5.30pm.Occasional Saturdays will be required after successful completion of initial probation period to deal with urgent maintenance issues. These will be on a rota basis (typically circa 1 in 8) working from home.
