Job Description

Job Title: CleanerLocation: ChesterfieldHourly Pay Rate: £11.45 per hourHours: 37 hrs per week - Monday to Friday 0730 - 15.30 or 16.00 - 23.00(Occasional weekends may be required)Contract: Temporary - ongoing with potential to become permanentGi Group Recruitment are now seeking to appoint Cleaners to our Public Sector client based in Chesterfield. The role of a Cleaner is vitally important, and we would welcome applications from enthusiastic and hard-working individuals. The successful candidatewill provide direct support to the unit to meet the departmental requirements, specifically by making sure the environment is kept clear, tidy, and appropriately maintained.Duties of the Cleaners

  • Provide a high standard of cleanliness.
  • The role is to clean, vacuum, mop and scrub all areas of the site, which includes patient areas, offices, communal corridors, therapy rooms and clinic rooms including toilet areas.
  • Mopping of floors and walls and other high surfaces.
  • Wet scrubbing and suction of hard floors.
  • Dusting of all surfaces.
  • Correct disposal of all clinical and non-clinical waste including recycling.
  • Replenishment of hand soap, toilet rolls, paper hand towels and hand sanitiser.
  • To take responsibility for the care and cleaning of all cleaning equipment and its storage area.
  • Ensure the department environment is kept clean to a predetermined level and in accordance with policies and procedures to achieve enhanced environmental standards.
  • Identify and action additional cleaning requirements.
  • Abide by infection prevention and control policies.
  • To ensure stock rooms are kept tidy and stock is easily accessible.
  • To always maintain patient confidentiality.
Experience Required
  • Previous experience as a Cleaner/Housekeeper.
  • To be familiar with relevant Operational, Personnel, Health and Safety Policies and procedures, including Fire, COSHH, No Smoking and Alcohol.
  • To attend mandatory updates as required.
