Job Description

Delegated Authority Analyst / Underwriting Assistant - Pre-Bind, PBQA, Due Dilligence, Casualty & Specialty Reinsurance, Delegated Authority Business, Binder Arrangements, Renewals and Onboarding, DCA / MGA Liaison, Bordereaux Reporting, MS Excel, PowerBI,Sharepoint, Stakeholder Engagement. Permanent, London/Remote (Hybrid). £50k - £60k +Bonus +Benefits Delegated Authority Analyst / Underwriting Assistant sought by global Reinsurance company operating primarily within the Casualty and Specialty markets. You will undertake operational support work relating to delegated authority business which will involve liaison with brokers and underwriters to support the onboarding of new clients, MGAs, coverholders to undertake due diligence processes prior to establishingbinder arrangements. The Delegated Authority Analyst / Underwriting Assistant will liaise with the Underwriters who are engaging with the coverholders and DCAs (Delegate Claims Administrators), understand the terms of business and then take a variety of steps to ensure due diligenceon an appropiate client-by-client basis. This will include pre-inception due diligence/ pre-bind quality assurance (PBQA), efficient collation of key documents and information, ensuring that the Coverholder/DCA understands Conduct Risk and the Insurance DistributionDirective and ensuring complete application information is collated for both Lloyds and Customer Relations Committee (CRC) approval. Secondly, review all line slips prior to bind/contract arrangement, setup endorsements and exceptions within the appropriate system(s) and ultimately have responsibility for overseeing the operational side of the Casualty & Specialty book, within a small team,from a pre-bind perspective with oversight of upload, maintenance and monitoring of all Risk, , and Claims bordereaux in the binder management tool. The Delegated Authority Analyst / Underwriting Assistant will provide insight and analysis relating to ongoing business through the management of data within MS Excel and (potentially) PowerBI generating relevant reports for brokers, underwriters and internalmanagement stakeholders. You will look at some Estimated Income (EPI), variances in claims received/business booked as well as wider trends and provide insightful reports as required and have oversight of Bordereaux reporting. This is an operational role within the insurance environment and as such we are searching for a Delegated Authority Analyst / Underwriting Assistant / Assistant Underwriter / Delegated Authority Reporting Analyst. You will be comfortable liaising with bothbroker and underwriters, have a strong understanding of binder arrangements and the delegated authority process. You will be familiar with line slips management and the pr-bind due diligence process, particularly in relation to Lloyds and Customer RelationsCommittee regulations. You will have undertaken Bordereaux analysis and reporting at some stage in your career and be comfortable with BDX systems such as Watertrace and other relevant systems such as Appian. Additionally, you will be confident in your use(at intermediate level at least) with MS Excel, with an ability to write Excel statements. You may have some experience in PowerBI but this is non-essential. You will be a self-sufficient individual who possesses excellent communication skills able to engagewith a wide range of stakeholders - MGAs, DCAs, Underwriters, Senior Management. You may have been working in either an Insurance Underwriters, Reinsurance Company most recently or have a background in Financial Services. We are open to experience in terms of class of business but any exposure to Casualty risk would be highly beneficial.You will however have worked with and understand the delegated authority business model and the binder agreements and specifically, the pre-bind process.
