We are now seeking a Female Support Worker to join an existing care team to support and facilitate the independence of our client, a schoolgirl with cerebral palsy, resulting in physical and learning disabilities and requiring 24/7 1:1 care. The Benefits - Salary of £12.50 per hour (weekdays) and £13.50 per hour (weekends) - A waking nights salary of £13.50 per hour (weekdays) and £14.50 per hour (weekends)- Work directly for the end service user and not an agency - Make a positive, lasting difference to a girl’s life - Statutory benefitsThe Role As a Female Support Worker, you will provide outstanding support and 1:1 care to our client, a young girl who lives with her parents near Swansea. Her care needs are complex and she requires support in managing her day-to-day needs in the home, assistance in undertaking activities and support to attend her special needs primary school and engage in therapies.The work is varied and involves helping the client to access the local community and its amenities, along with accompanying her on family outings and holidays. This role will involve moving and handling tasks which may require you to bend, kneel, squat or lunge and work on mats on the floor on a regular basis.This position may include overnight shifts at the client’s home, making sure she is safe and attended to during the night.About YouTo be considered as a Female Support Worker, you will need:- Previous care experience - A full, valid driving licence (as you will to need to drive the client’s vehicle)- To be registered with, or working towards registration with, Social Care Wales- To hold a recognised Health and Social Care qualification (NVQ Level 2 or a Diploma) or have completed the All Wales Induction Framework, or be willing to complete this within 6 months of starting if successfulPlease note, only female applicants will be considered for this role due to nature of personal care involved.
