We are currently recruiting on behalf of our prestigious client in Clydach, Swansea for a Reliability Engineer for a 12 month contract. The Mond Nickel Refinery, owned & operated by Vale Europe celebrated 120 years of production this year, and is one of the worlds leading Nickel refineries. Vale are globally one of the worlds largest mining companies, with operations in the UK, Asia, theUSA and across Europe. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in a Reliability and/or Maintenance related role with a background in Mechanical Engineering. Specific certifications in condition monitoring technologies (Ultrasound, Vibration, oil analysis, thermography etc) and/or Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional or other maintenance/reliability certification would be considered an asset. The accountabilities of the Reliability Engineer will include: * Work cross functionally in the implementation of a reliability program, which encompasses systems, processes, procedures, standards, KPIs, analysis and tools that will maximise business value * Identify and address asset reliability issues in the operations ensuring best practices for asset up time are standardised and shared across the business. * Work to ensure compliance to the reliability program and that asset reliability risks are identified and mitigated. * Provide recommendations on strategic investment in equipment, technology, and initiatives to optimise asset value. * Develop the work packages for asset strategies in developing bill of materials, task lists, measuring points, etc. * Work with site representatives to determine operating standards and mix of preventative and predictive tasks required to optimise the reliable output of the assets. * Conduct Reliability Analysis and Improvement (Analysing trends, KPIs - MTTR/MTBF, data analysis, bad actor failure analysis and optimisation). * Perform reliability studies applying tools such as RCM to determine reliability of components, equipment, and processes. * Conduct root cause analysis on systemic reliability issues and one-off significant eventsThe following deliverables are required for the project:* Maintenance plan development (including tasks lists, bill of materials) * Root cause analysis (identification of root causes and actions to prevent re-occurrence) * Tracking and reporting on various Maintenance & Reliability metrics * Reliability strategy implementation/development (asset integrity, preventive and predictive maintenance etc) * Ad-hoc requests from Reliability superintendent related to the tracking and implementation of Vales Reliability processes and procedures This is a 12 month contract with an expected start date of January 2023. Working on a 37.5 hour week, with annual earnings up to £49,000 depending on experience. Overtime may be required during busy periods (payable at premium rates) and a 10% bonus will be paid upon completion.
