Job Description

Are you looking to work within an SEN environmentWe are looking to recruit an experienced Learning Support Assistant with a knowledge of how to support young people those diagnosed with Autism, PMLD and other SEN needs. The school caters for pupils of Nursery and Primary ages 2-11.The school is located in Penarth and it has excellent facilities in the school such as a large outdoor area, a dedicated hub for its younger pupils, sensory rooms and an excellent team to support the pupils.The school is looking for a Teaching Assistant to support the class teacher as they teach play centred learning and social development to it’s pupils. This is essential in their development due their special Educational needs. The successful Teaching Assistant would work alongside the teacher and other support staff I the school such as holistic therapists, speech and language therapists and the parents of the pupils.In your role as a SEN Learning Support Assistant you would have a variety of duties including:

  • Supporting with academic tasks,
  • Personal care
  • Helping with feeding
  • Emotional support
  • To be successful in your application, you must be able to provide evidence of this as skills and experience.Please be aware that all applicants will be subject to background checks and will need a current DBS certificate (update service registered).
