Job Description

Job description - Packer Job Summary: The Production Packer will be responsible for efficiently handling, preparing, and moving materials within the warehouse and production environment. This role involves operating equipment, ensuring accurate data entry, and maintaining a cleanand organized workspace. The Production packer will contribute to the timely delivery of finished products and support the overall production process.Responsibilities:

  • Operate shrink wrap machines to securely wrap pallets of finished products.
  • Utilize banding machines to strap finished products for transportation.
  • Safely operate powered pump trucks for material transportation.
  • Prepare materials needed for production lines in a timely manner.
  • Input and manage data in the MRP system (Pal MRP, Microsoft Navigate).
  • Complete necessary paperwork to adjust stock levels accurately.
  • Collect and remove waste products from production areas and recycle appropriately.
  • Process returns of raw materials, including generating and attaching labels.
  • Conduct production line cleaning and setup if trained and required.
  • Perform basic mathematical calculations to support inventory tracking.
Requirements:
  • High attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
  • Ability to operate shrink wrap and banding machines. ( Can be trained)
  • Computer literacy for data entry and MRP system usage.
  • Familiarity with (Microsoft Navigate) is advantageous.
  • Effective communication skills for team collaboration.
  • Physical capability to lift and move materials as needed.
  • Adherence to established procedures and protocols.
  • Basic math skills for inventory calculations.
  • Previous exposure to warehouse or production environments is a plus.
