Job Description

Central Employment is assisting one of its long-standing clients, a leading manufacturing company based in Cramlington, in their search for a Purchase Ledger Clerk or experienced administrator This Temp position has a 37-hour workweek, including 8:00 am-4:30pm shifts from Monday to Thursday, with a 30-minute lunch break. On Fridays, work hours are 8:00 am to 1:00 pm, with no lunch break. The company offers 25 days of holiday plus bank holidays, with a general two-week shutdown in the summer and three days requiredfor the Christmas shutdown.Responsibilities:

Processing purchase ledger invoices (550-600 per month)
Reconciling supplier statements
Corresponding with suppliers by phone and email regarding payment dates and other queries
Conducting ad hoc analyses in Excel
Running monthly payment run proposals for review with the Finance Manager.

As the Purchase Ledger Clerk, you will be part of a team of three, which includes the Finance Manager and Assistant Accountant.
