Job Description

CREDIT CONTROLLERDewsbury - up to £28K depending on experienceOur client is looking for a Credit Controller to work at their established site based in Dewsbury, West Yorkshire.The main responsibilities of the Credit Control role are:-

Responsible for maximising cash collection and minimising debts for 4000+ customer base
Maintain debtor days within the company target
Ensure current debts are collected within customer payment terms
Any overdue debt is collected either internally or via enforcement agencies and court procedures
Deal with queries and communicate with relevant parties (internal and external) to resolve
Post and allocate customer cash received
Process sales ledger invoices and upload to customer portals as required
Administration of the credit held queue
Maintenance of the customer base, new accounts, credit checks, references
Covering holiday absence of accounts team
Cash forecasting

The ideal Credit Controller would meet the following criteria:-

Demonstrable experience in a similar role is essential
Strong communication skills; ability to have challenging conversations
Keeping up to date with new legislation
Excellent time management skills (demonstrated with examples)
Experience of working with 3rd party companies
