Job Description

There are 230employees on site and experience here can lead to excellent career opportunities both in East Kilbride and further afield across other GB sites and pan-Euro-pacific locations.What to expect: Reporting to the Quality, Environment, Safety and Health (QESH) Senior Manager onsite, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Implement CCEP, Kore and ISO Health and Safety standards and requirements into detailed working instructions to be incorporated into the site Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) management control systems
  • Define the standards for Health, Safety & Environment risk assessments to be completed by Manufacturing and Distribution on the job to ensure hazards are recognised and eliminated
  • Complete sample audits, including of risk assessments to ensure compliance and action-planning
  • Define the standards for Health and Safety and drive continual improvement projects to improve performance
  • Lead Health and Safety Risk Management through a system of risk assessments in place with monitoring and continual improvement with involvement of working groups
  • Coach teams through HSE related incident investigations to ensure there is no risk to people and incorporate learnings into future operational practices to prevent recurrence
  • Lead the site in delivery of the HSE plan and compliance to requirements
  • Manage cost control of agreed budget lines and report performance
  • Play a leadership role within manufacturing, role-modelling behaviours and own performance required to achieve the site’s objectives, as well as coaching the teams to improve Safety Culture via excellent performance in leading indicators
  • Grow, develop and engage your team via our performance management processes and successfully develop pipeline talent of the future
  • Lead Successful 3rd party Safety, Governance and Regulatory audits and visits, including ISO and Kore.
  • To deputise for Environment.
Skills & Essentials:
  • Health and Safety expert qualification as senior specialist on site e.g NEBOSH etc.
  • Health and Safety practitioner in a sizable, multi-function operational site with a number of risks and hazards, including compliance and regulatory management
  • Driving cultural/behavioural change in safety
  • Operational experience within a large operational facility and manufacturing and distribution and volatile demand.
  • Managing external contracts and suppliers
  • Managing a team – coaching and developing others
  • Trained Auditor
  • Environmental legal compliance
  • Previous experience in project and change management
  • Experience of working within efficient operations
  • Strong ethical and compliance focus
  • Previous experience of implementing continuous improvement
  • Quality Assurance experience
  • Proven Health and Safety track record
  • Background in Environmental compliance preferable but not essential
