Are you a confident, experienced line manager looking for a permanent full -time role Do you pride yourself on good verbal and written communication skills Are you happy to work evening shifts and comfortable with manual handling tasks If so, SignatureRecruitment is looking for a full-time Library Services Team Leader to join our client, a Higher Education Library establishment in London.This role suits someone with excellent management experience and great customer service skills to lead a busy team in a service environment. This is a permanent full-time position of 35 hours a week. Based on campus, the postholder will work shifts on aMonday through to Sunday roster.As a Library Team Leader, you will manage two to three members of staff and plan and manage the work of the team. In addition, you will provide expert advice and support to staff and students and ensure an understanding of relevant regulations and schoolpolicies. You will work within established procedures but have the authority to recommend and implement changes.Library Services Team Leader Key Responsibilities:

Line managing responsibilities. Be comfortable motivating and encouraging staff as well as dealing with questions, queries, and issues professionally and effectively
Conduct Team Meetings with the ability to note take on a laptop
Draft rosters and other communications as well as well-written policy and procedure documents
Manual handling and shelving of books and lifting of boxes. This will be across six library floors with a requirement to be able to use stairs
A commitment to being able to commute and commit to evening shift patterns finishing up to 11.30 pm
Other ad hoc duties in order to support the smooth running of the library. To include assisting with Front of House services when required

Library Services Team Leader Key Skills:

Experience in providing and monitoring high levels of customer service
Good written and verbal communicator - with a skill to managing difficult situations and deescalating when necessary
Excellent organisational skills - with high attention to detail especially when preparing staff resources for the rota
Confident user of IT and ability to pick up IT systems quickly
