Job Description

Our client is currently recruiting for an experienced Maintenance Assistant based within Edinburgh, EH16This role is to undertake General Maintenance duties within the Hospital.Available shifts / Locations below:

  • Monday until Friday (5 days a week)
  • Postcode: EH16 4SA
  • 08:00-16:00PM
  • £18.49 including holiday pay, however you have the option to accrue
  • Paid Weekly, Every Friday before 5 PM.
  • This position is PAYE
Skills required:
  • Must have at least 2 years previous experience
  • DBS certificate or equivalent Required
  • NVQ Level 3
  • Punctual, reliable, and trustworthy
  • Able to manage time effectively
  • Ability to work both alone and in a team
  • Awareness of health and safety procedures
  • A good standard of Secondary Education, including Maths and English
Must have experience in the following:
  • To undertake Planned and Reactive Maintenance within your skillset
  • Liaise with suppliers to minimise costs whilst keeping good value.
  • Assist other skilled trades in carrying out maintenance, repairs, testing, inspection and installation work.
  • Where instructed, carry out minor repairs to the building fabric to ensure the safety and security of the client’s premises, staff and visitors.
  • Respond in a safe manner to the effects of bad weather, e.g. Snow clearing, gritting, flooding, high winds, etc.
  • Undertake training to maintain and develop the requirements of the service.
  • Liaise and undertake duties at other sites in my portfolio.
  • Ensure Health and Safety policies are followed across all sites.
