In this role, you will not only promote and sell our innovative solutions but also sustain and enhance relationships with existing customerswhile cultivating new connections in the industry. This position offers a unique opportunity to drive sales and growth within a leading company at the intersection of technology and creativity.The Role:Join our dynamic team at Luminous as a Technical Sales Executive, where youll play a crucial role in driving our sales and marketing initiatives. Reporting directly to the Sales and Marketing Director, you will enhance customer interactions and proactivelydevelop new business opportunities. Youll work closely with senior management to expand our market presence and achieve strategic goals.As the primary liaison between clients and our technical teams, youll ensure seamless communication and efficient processing of orders, focusing on optimising customer relations and operational efficiency. Your responsibilities will include conducting demonstrationsof our innovative products at Luminous or client sites, providing technical advice, and managing post-sale support, including warranty enquiries.Youll collaborate with the Marketing Executive to develop a unified sales and marketing strategy, contributing your insights during regular strategic sessions with company directors to report on sales trends, project updates and new market opportunities.Additionally, you will represent Luminous at major industry events and exhibitions, enhancing our brand presence and networking with industry peers, both in the UK and internationally.This permanent position offers the opportunity to blend your technical knowledge with strategic sales skills, making a significant impact at Luminous and advancing your career.The Person:

  • Proven track record of success in technical sales, preferably in a B2B environment
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills (both written and verbal)
  • Strong technical background with a good understanding of engineering principles and concepts
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and results-oriented, with a passion for exceeding targets and driving business growth
  • Have excellent interpersonal and relationship building skills
  • Have strong organisational skills, with the ability to multi-task, prioritise and organise changing workloads
  • Willingness to travel, sometimes internationally, for trade shows, events and customer visits
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office products, CRM and MRP systems.
  • Degree level education
  • UK driving licence
  • Right to work in the UK and willing to commute daily to Exeter
