Materiel Support ManagerSalary £47,840 per annum Location GlasgowMonday to Friday, Days OnlyFree Flights and Stand by Flights5% / 11% PensionYearly Bonus34 Days Holiday (Inc Bank Holidays)Start ASAPMy client, a dynamic and well-loved British Institution, are currently looking for an experienced Materials Support Manager to join their team.Role Purpose: Lead a dynamic 24/7 shift team, ensuring exceptional customer service in the distribution of materials and tooling for my clients MRO production facility. Key Responsibilities:* Empower the team to achieve business objectives related to the storage, distribution, and delivery of materials and tooling.* Lead and manage a team of over 20 members.* Oversee daily operations for the supply chain.* Develop strategies for continuous improvement to ensure materials and tooling are available on time and at the correct location, supporting operational needs.* Manage material and service expenditures to meet financial targets and provide weekly reports.* Implement short-term recovery actions and plans to support production needs.* Maintain detailed knowledge of Health & Safety, facilities, airworthiness, and other regulatory requirements to ensure a compliant and safe operation.* Ensure effective communication within the Supply Chain team through meetings and briefings.* Develop performance measures to identify areas for supplier improvement.Qualifications & Experience:* Degree-level education or equivalent experience.* Vocational leadership qualification.* Proven experience in managing Health & Safety and Quality Systems.* Track record of delivering operational performance while balancing cost, quality, and service.* Knowledge of procedures and asset management tools and techniques.* Basic purchasing skills.* (Desired) Experience with Aircraft Tools and Equipment.* Knowledge of EWS supply chain module.Required skills
