Job Description

Operations Manager£40K - £50K AnnuallyGlasgow, SouthsideMon-Fri, Full TimeAre you a strategic thinker with a flair for leadershipReed is searching for an experienced and business orientatedOperations Manager,that can lead an exciting and high earning local fashion company in their strategic business objectives.The main purpose of the Operations Manager is to act as the central point in the company, providingvisionary leadershipand making critical strategic decisions, crafting and implementing operational policiesand procedures, and ensuring the workforce is fully trained and up to their tasks. Overall, the goal is to ensure the business operates like awell-oiled machine.The main responsibilities are:

  • Support the company in strategic planning and make sure business is adequately resourced.
  • Liaise with senior leadership to create and implement new operational policies and procedures across all depts.
  • Review workloads and manpower to ensure targets are met.
  • Promote a company culture that encourages top performance.
  • Identify any skills gaps in the business and recruit/train if necessary.
  • Train staff on company process to ensure everyone is performing to their best.
  • Oversee recruitment, CV sourcing, and interviews.
  • Liaise with HR on any staffing issues.
  • Develop skills of management team, conduct 121s, performance reviews, appraisals etc.
  • Review, maintain, and update IT and systems currently in place.
  • Act as the first point of contact for escalations from other functions.
To succeed in this role, you will need:
  • Proven leadership skills.
  • A strong understanding of policy, planning, and strategy.
  • Experience in developing, implementing, and reviewing policies and procedures.
  • Ability to manage budgeting, reporting, planning, and auditing.
  • A proven track record of recruiting and training staff.
  • Problem-solving skills and the ability to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Capacity to build alliances and partnerships with other organisations.
  • Experience within the clothing industry is desirable but not essential.
