Job Description

Trainee Payroll Advisor Glasgow City Centre£25,000An exciting opportunity has arisen to join Search as a Trainee Payroll Advisor.In this role, you will learn payroll processes and receive full training to progress into a Payroll Advisor role. Your daily tasks will include, supporting with the processing of payroll, invoicing, weekly and monthly reports and any ad hoc tasks required forpayroll. This trainee position provides comprehensive training, paving the way for your advancement to a payroll advisorAlthough this role offers hybrid working, successful applicants are expected to be in the office during their training period until management is confident with their progress.Working Hours: Monday - Friday: 09:00 - 17:30Benefits:- Buy and sell holidays- Hybrid working- Cycle to work scheme- Electric car schemeMain Duties:- Process weekly staff payroll and invoicing- Apply relevant statutory deductions as required- Produce and distribute weekly and monthly business reports- Perform ad-hoc tasks as needed- Resolve payroll queries by liaising with operational staff and associates- Ensure statutory payments and deductions comply with governing body guidelines- Calculate manual pay when necessary- Ensure accurate and timely payment of all staff in accordance with scheduled payment dates- Issue invoices promptly- Comply with HMRC legislation for statutory deductions from weekly salaries- Ensure the accurate and timely issuance of weekly reports to the business- Produce accurate monthly reports aligned with the financial month-endIdeal Candidate:- Excellent IT skills, including proficiency in Word and Excel- Experience in an administrative role- Excellent written and verbal communication skills- Strong customer service skills- Meticulous attention to detail and the ability to identify and correct errors in high volumes of dataExperience in an office environment is essential for this role.
