Job Description

Assistant Accountant – Part Qualified AAT/CIMA/ACCA Manchester – Hybrid £35-38,000 plus study support and excellent benefits Fantastic opportunity to join an established top consultancy business to support the business across various sites in Europe and the Middle East.As part of the corporate accounting team, you will work closely with external accountants and be responsible for financial accounting and reporting including month end close, balance sheet reconciliations, intercompany reconciliations, and statutory reporting.Key Responsibilities Completing monthly close to global deadlines including preparation and posting of month-end journalsPreparation of monthly balance sheet reconciliations and preparation of monthly Fee ReconciliationsPreparation of quarterly Intercompany Reconciliations and InvoicingPrepare monthly data packs for local accountants and share to agreed timelines.On a monthly basis review and reconcile local GAAP / management accounts, understand differences and where appropriate adjust GAAP and/or local books.Liaise with external advisors, including auditors and local accountants.Support the local country audits ensuring a timely submission of Financial Statements, and Tax Team to ensure a timely submission of Corporation Tax and Transfer Pricing ReturnsCompile data for VAT and other fiscal returns.Liaising with Accounts Payable and Billing Teams to ensure that costs are correctly allocated.Assistance with ad-hoc projects as and when required and ensure a robust control environment is operated and maintained.Skills & Qualifications AAT/CIMA/ACCA/ACA Part Qualified with 3-5 years’ experience.Experience in an international multi-site business with exposure to FX transactions ideally in professional services.Experience of supporting the preparation of local GAAP financial statements, VAT Preparation, review, and submission.Proficient in Excel and ERP systemsAbility to work with large data setsTeam players with excellent stakeholder management skills and the ability to meet deadlines.
