Job Description

About us:This company are a dynamic manufacturing business, first established in 1876 and are Europe’s leading manufacturer of decorating sundries. That has established a strong brand identity that has become instantly recognisable on UK retailers’ shelves. New productsare always being developed in-house, meaning they are continually growing and expanding.Job Purpose:To develop new business within a defined territory while supporting existing customers to grow their business and develop the trade brand. Develop new leads and onboard new accounts through building relationships with new merchants and buying group members.Provide product and technical advice to new and existing customers.Key accountabilities:

  • Achieve defined sales targets for new trade business based on agreed targets/objectives.
  • Targeting new listings in multi branch outlets
  • Manage, maintain, and grow business for existing merchant accounts through regular contact and relationship building.
  • Promote all products to generate leads through building merchants, decorating merchants, plastering, and rendering contractors, painting, and decorating contractors.
  • Proactively reach and develop sales opportunities, follow up on the sales opportunities and create your own commercial strategy to expand customer base.
  • Attend trade events and exhibitions and represent and promote the Company.
  • Provide training to merchants and attend training days.
  • Action all leads, sales enquiries, and requests promptly.
  • Obtain and maintain a high level of product and industry knowledge.
  • Attend sales meetings to report on all activity and discuss business development and opportunities.
  • Form part of the regional team to support, deliver and influence the wider regional commercial strategy.
  • Promote and champion the features and benefits of the companies products.
