Job Description

Geography Teacher

We are seeking a Geography Teacher to join our dedicated team, contributing to the development of a strong and effective school within a caring and secure Islamic environment. The role involves promoting a culture of educational excellence and values ofdiscipline, mutual care, and respect that extends into the wider community. Day to Day of the Role:
  • Plan, design, and produce teaching materials and resources suitable for KS3 and KS4 students.
  • Deliver inspiring lessons that facilitate progression in students’ learning and cater to a range of abilities.
  • Assess, record, and report on the development, progress, and attainment of students.
  • Manage the classroom and teaching equipment to create a positive learning environment.
  • Attend meetings and carry out administrative tasks as required.
  • Provide leadership within a caring environment and work in partnership with various stakeholders.
  • Promote and deliver the school’s priorities and policies, contributing to its improvement and development.
  • Use subject expertise to secure consistent progress for all students and develop effective learning strategies.
  • Participate in after-school support, pre-exam intervention sessions, and subject enrichment activities.
  • Engage in professional development through observation, feedback, and pedagogic discussions.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Experience teaching Geography at KS3 and KS4 levels.
  • Ability to create and maintain a disciplined and secure learning environment.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of effective learning and teaching strategies.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to maintain good relationships with colleagues, students, and parents.
  • Commitment to the school’s ethos and values, including participation in community events.
