Position OverviewAs a Senior Application Support Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation and optimal performance of newly introduced products and applications. This position requires a deep understanding of application support,strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to mentor and guide junior team members.Key Responsibilities:

Provide expert-level technical support for specific applications.
Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues.
Collaborate with development, QA, and operations teams to identify root causes and implement solutions.
Monitor application performance and proactively address potential issues.
Develop and maintain documentation for support procedures and best practices.
Mentor and guide junior support engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning.
Stay updated with industry trends and emerging technologies to enhance support capabilities.
Perform system audits and analyse logs to prevent future problems.
Lead in internal and external training workshops
Liaise with external vendors and service providers to resolve issues.
Automate routine tasks to improve efficiency and reduce manual intervention.
Ensure compliance with security policies and best practices in all support activities.

Technical Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Mathematics, Engineering or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in application support.
Strong experience working with Python, or similar programming languages.
Experience designing and implementing automated solutions.
Experience working with AWS or Azure for IAM and other processes.
Experience working within a Scrum / Agile framework
Strong experience working with the MS Office application suite is essential
Proficiency in troubleshooting and resolving issues in [specific technologies, e.g., SQL, Java, .NET, etc.].
Strong understanding of ITIL processes and best practices.
Experience with monitoring tools and ticketing systems, e.g. JIRA, Splunk
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines is highly beneficial
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
Proven ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
