Job Description

My client is a large healthcare services organisation in the Hull area. Working in an established team, you will be a Payroll Supervisor managing direct reports of 4-5 and assisting the payroll management team. Our client is looking for an experienced payrollprofessional with supervisory experience ideally to join them on a permanent basis.Job DescriptionReporting directly to the Payroll Manager, you will be responsible for the timely and accurate processing of weekly and monthly payroll. You will be responsible for checking the payroll and maintaining accuracy of the payroll of the team.The role is hybrid working with great flexitime.The holidays are 30 days.Responsibilities

  • Managing a team
  • Process improvement and minimising errors
  • Checking the payroll of the team and ensuring deadlines are hit
  • Communicating with external and internal stakeholders
  • Training and coaching any new starters and payroll team
  • Ability to assist on hands on payroll and perform manual calculations
  • Using an internal payroll system to process payroll and Microsoft excel
  • Dealing with escalated queries
Requirements
  • Able to demonstrate leadership
  • Examples of management experience ideal
  • Interest in development of teams, this role can be a step up position for someone at a lower level
  • Previous experience processing complex payrolls of high volumes
  • Needs to be up to date on legislation
  • Strong team player
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Good systems skills including MS Excel
