Job Description

Procurement AssistantSalary - £22,000 - £26,000 P/A, Depending on Experience Hours - Full Time, 8.45 - 17:00 Monday - FridayLocation - HuddersfieldBenefits - Free parking, 23+8 Days Holiday (Christmas Shutdown), Pension Office Based, PermanentAre you ready to join a thriving manufacturing company based in Huddersfield We are seeking a dynamic individual to join our clients procurement team.As a Procurement Assistant, you will play a pivotal role in processing purchase orders and serve as primary contact in all procurement related activities, ensuring smooth operations and efficient supplier management.Key Responsibilities:

  • Process purchase orders based on MRP demand and departmental requests
  • Serve as primary contact for supplier queries
  • Assist in supplier management, including performance evaluation
  • Ensure compliance with procurement policies and regulation
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders
  • Support procurement team in day-to-day activities
Key requirements of the Procurement Assistant:
  • Previous experience in manufacturing or production is essential.
  • Previous administration experience in procurement, purchasing, buying or inventory control.
  • Knowledge of MRP systems is highly desirable.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and adaptability.
  • Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
  • Familiarity with UK Procurement regulations
